What Is Breast Cancer And How does it Develops?

Breast cancer is a cancer that develops in the breast tissue.  It is often first detected as an abnormality on a mammogram even before the patient or health care provider notices.  Usually the cancerous cells arise in the lobules or ducts.  The lobules are glands that produce milk, while the ducts are conduits for the passage of milk from the glands to the nipples.  In less common instances breast cancer can also arise in fatty tissue or fiberous connective tissue in the breast.  The understanding we now have of how breast cancer develops revovles around a series of molecular alterations or mutations that occur in the genes responsible for cell growth regulation.  These mutations allow cells to divide without control rapidly.  Hence, the uncontrolled growth of cells invade healthy breast tissue, travels to the nearby lymph nodes, enters the blood, and goes to other distance organs in what as known as metastasis.  The sites implicated in the development of breast cancer are estrogen receptor (ER), progestrone recptor (PR) and human epirdermal growth factor (HER2).

Are You Checking Your Self? – Once A Month 2-3 Days After Periods- Early Detection Can Be A Game-Changer!  Watch This Video To Learn How.....Have You Checked Your Boobies Today?

Look at the GIF below and see how the Dense Breast (right) masks (obscures) the tumor. If you have Dense Tissue then your radiologist should advise you to have supplemental screening  Ultrasound or MRI.  White areas on mammograms, dense tissue, which is not fatty, but it’s actually epithelial tissue or fibroglandular tissue and women need to know that having more of that increases your risk of Breast Cancer.

Being diagnosed with breast cancer is one of the most profound life-changing events that could happen to anyone.   At Gina’s Place 777, we have lost a family member to breast cancer, and we understand many of you might have had a similar experience with a loved one or friend or may have even had to deal with something worse than breast cancer. We just want you to know that you are not alone.  While we may not be able to change the results of a diagnosis or take away the pain that comes with it, we can help in our own little way by making things easier for anyone involved in it.

Here Is How We Do It

According to the World Health Organization, by the end of 2020, over 7.8 million women alive had been diagnosed with breast cancer in the past 5 years, making it the world's most prevalent cancer. The diagnosis of breast cancer always comes as a shock and challenge to the patient and family members.  Thus, what we started as an individual fight becomes a collective fight.  At Gina's place 777 we understand the impact of the diagnosis on families and loved ones.  That is why we have dedicated ourselves to being part of the fight by donating a percentage of our proceeds from purchased products to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  We have been doing this since 2010, when we went from vendoring in the streets of New York to Ebay and with our continuing dedication we hope to keep it up with support from individuals like you.  We thank you!

Partners In Achieving One Common Goal

In 2016, Susan G. Komen announced their Bold Goal to "Reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026." While this may seem daring, it is possible, and that is why we are playing our part through donations.

Cancer effects every race and does not discriminate. It affects people of all backgrounds, nationalities, and professions.  Also, the multi-complexity and esoteric relationship across its risk factors make it even more difficult to predict who is likely to come down with it.  Breast cancer is hereditary and associated with certain risk factors such as dense breast tissue, alcoholism, smoking, prolonged exposure to estrogen and radiation, obesity, use of cosmetic breast implants, and many more.

As part of our goal, we want to increase the awareness of this hideous monster and equip people with the right attitude towards preventing it. Shopping with us or directly donating to us leads to increased effectiveness in detecting a cancerous cell.  We expect artificial intelligence and other futuristic technology to play a more prominent role shortly.

Enrich Your Life Through Others

Your donations help us to enrich lives while making you fulfilled.  Donating and helping others also helps you be happy, boost your confidence, and inject positive energy in your life that keeps on giving back to you.  You can be sure to reap the rewards when you hear that someone is smiling because of you. Remember that a kind heart never looks for anything in return. Simply being a light to others and yourself defines the very essence of our purpose here on earth.
